You’re right that November will have some pretty cold starts in the mountains! It’s an average temperature map, and most of the data is only available in the built-up areas. 🙂

Really great work. I will say though, having biked from San Diego CA to El Paso TX December 26th 2006 through January 11th 2007 on the Southern Tier ACA route, that you will need cold weather gear if you want to bike in the mornings. I awoke numerous times to 22 degrees and thick frost on my tent. It took until about 10:30 a.m. for the temperature to be bike-friendly. But that is no reason to not attempt your epic route.
